Somatic Practices for Caregivers
Nurturing the Nurturers
Date: Wednesday November 11th
Time: 11:00am to 12:15pm
Location: Held Space, 960 Manhattan Ave 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11222
An experiential workshop exploring body-based (somatic) tools for stability and resilience with kind-hearted community. In-person in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
When we spend so much time caring for others, it can be easy to lose touch with our own needs. This workshop offers space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and explore somatic practices that support grounding, nervous system regulation, and resilience.
You will be guided through somatic practices with the invitation to move, rest, and participate in ways that feel right for you. Rather than trying to fix or force anything, this space is about reconnecting with your body and noticing what is here, with curiosity instead of judgment. Together, we'll explore what it means to nurture ourselves while caring for others.
This workshop is for anyone who considers themself a caregiver: therapists & helping professionals, parents, caring for a loved one, and anyone who often tends to others' needs before their own. No prior experience with somatic practices is necessary.
Advance registration is required. Please register ahead of time to reserve your spot.
